Each player should be a Sri Lankan in nationality.
Age is considered by 31st of December 2021 for U9/U11/U13/U15
U9 – (Born in 2013/2014/2015)
U11 – (Born in 2012/2011)
U13 – (Born in 2010/2009)
U15 – (Born in 2008/2007)
University event is only available for the government university students.
Anyone can participate in the open event.
1st 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded a medal and a certificate
The Best Girl will be awarded a medal and a certificate
Places from 4th to 15th will be awarded a digital merit certificate in each age group.
The top 10 players are eligible to participate in the open event free.
A digital certificate of participation will be awarded to all participants.
Pairing will be done using Swiss Manager

Players should play on laptops or desktops. During the game, a player’s camera and microphone must be turned on.
Players must share their screen (the first screen/ screen 1 so we can see their Taskbar) and make Task Manager “Always on top”. Players are recommended to close all other applications/tabs and to have only Zoom and only one Chrome tab – Tornelo activated.
It is every player’s individual responsibility to have a working Internet connection for the duration of the tournament. If a player is disconnected from the server, the player may reconnect and continue the game while he still has time on the clock.
The players may lower their speakers(not for mute) in order to avoid distraction, but to check the Zoom/Tornelo chat and to be responsive.
U9/U11/U13/U15 players should verify their birth years before the starting of the event where we will allocate some time after the registration. University event is only available for the government university students and they have to send a photo of their university ID when registering to the event.
Headphones, earphones, caps, hats, hoodies and any unnecessary items which are on the head or covering the head are not allowed (except for religious purposes). 9. Player’s desk shall be clean and tidy – there shall be no other items except the computer (the one from where the player is playing) and the computer mouse
The picture displayed shall not hide the surroundings of the player – no virtual background nor blurry background is allowed.
In each playing venue, the fair play measures should be applied in accordance with the FIDE Anti-Cheating Regulations and FIDE Anti-Cheating Protection Measures. Players shall be monitored by Tornelo Live Fair Play Reports.
All participants shall comply and co-operate with the Fair Play rules. Players may be removed from the Championship at any time on final decision of the Chief Arbiter based on fair play rules.
